Summary. An archaeological evaluation (12 trial-trenches) was carried out at Camp Poultry Farm, Mill Lane, Hatfield Heath, Essex, in advance of developments at the site. The site forms part of a former WWII prisoner of war camp, probably constructed in 1942/43. Excavations revealed a single feature, which was probably a backfilled modern pond.
