Summary. Archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out at Lanham Manor Farm, Cressing, Essex in advance of a commercial development involving the erection of new build and conversion of present buildings due to the presence of a medieval moat at the site. Evaluation uncovered the remains of this moat.
