Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at Bantam House, Church Lane, White Roding, Essex during groundworks for the construction of a new dwelling. Located within a medieval homestead moated site, monitoring revealed previously unknown continuation of the moat to the north of the site, as well as four post-medieval/modern pits
