Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at Old Hall Marshes, Salcott Field, Salcott, Essex during the creation of new wetland scrapes and other amendments to the reserve. Despite being located within a historic grazing marsh and close to a number of Red Hills (salt-production sites), no archaeological remains were encountered.
