Summary. A programme of historic building recording was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust at Bennett's Farm, Weald Road, South Weald, Brentwood in November 2022. The building surveyed at Bennett's Farm incorporated the remains of a Victorian farm building into a modern outbuilding. The original farm building was timber-framed on a red brick plinth and arranged in U-shape. The cartographic evidence indicates a construction date of 1838-1881 with alterations in the early and late 20th century.
