Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at 15 Park Road, Colchester, Essex, during groundworks for extensions at the front and rear of the property. The site lies within a known area of Late Iron Age and Roman burials with at least one Roman road to the north. Despite lying in an archaeologically-sensitive area, the only features impacted by the groundworks were a modern pit or depression, and an undated gully/pit and ditch.
