Summary. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out at 7 Park Road, Colchester, Essex in advance of the construction of a detached dwelling to the rear of the property. Located in an area rich in Roman archaeological remains, the evaluation revealed a Roman ditch terminus, a modern pit or tree-throw and three undated silt patches or tree-throws.
