Summary. Archaeological monitoring of the removal and replacement of the athletics track surface, and four investigatory slots excavated in the surface of the sports pitch. Despite the fact that the site lies near to the Roman Circus and within a known area of Roman burials, no archaeological features were encountered as groundworks did not penetrate beyond modern layers.
