Summary. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was undertaken at Homedale Farm, Dedham Road, Boxted, Essex in advance of the construction of a new house. The site is located in the midst of a cropmark complex and near to numerous archaeological deposits dating to the prehistoric, Roman, medieval and post-medieval periods. Despite being located in an archaeologically-sensitive area, however, no significant archaeological features were encountered.
