Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at The Star, 62 High Street, Standon, Hertfordshire during groundworks for single-storey extensions to the northern side and rear of the property. Despite being located in an archaeologically-sensitive area, the only feature uncovered was the foundation trench for the existing building.
