Summary. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out on land adjacent to 3 Borges Gardens, Braiswick Lane, Colchester, Essex in advance of the construction of a new dwelling. A wall foundation of a building which stood at this site from at least the mid 19th century until its demolition around the 1990s was uncovered along with a postmedieval or modern pit which was associated with artisanal or domestic activity at this property.
