Summary. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out at Ireland's Meadow, Little Waldingfield, Suffolk in advance of the construction of new residential dwelling. The development site was thought be to located on the site of the original Holbrook Hall, a Tudor building burnt down in the 1870s. There was no trace of Holbrook Hall itself, indicating that the hall is not located within this part of the development site, but a medieval/post-medieval pit and post-medieval ditch were found.
