Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at 78 Irvine Road, Colchester, Essex in advance of a ground-floor extension. The development site is located within the Late Iron Age oppidum of Camulodunum, and to the south of the sites of several Roman cemeteries and a Roman temple. No significant archaeological features were recorded.
