Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at 55 West Stockwell Street, Colchester, Essex during the conversion of an external store into a garden room. Despite being located within the area of the Roman town and to the rear of a 15th-century listed building, no significant archaeological remains were recorded.
