Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at 2 St Clare Road in advance of the construction of a two-storey extension. The development site is located close to the Lexden Tumulus (Scheduled Monument, NHLE no 1019967) and on the northern edge of the 'Lexden cemetery'. However, no significant archaeological horizons were identified.
