Summary. An archaeological evaluation by trial-trenching was carried out at New Hall School, The Avenue, Boreham, Essex in advance of the construction of new all-weather sports pitches. Despite being located within the grounds of the medieval New Hall manor and close to a number of important archaeological sites, no significant archaeological horizons were identified.
