Summary. Five trial-trenches were excavated by the Colchester Archaeological Trust within the footprints of two proposed buildings and a new access road at the Westrope Haulage Yard in Birdbrook, Essex. No archaeological features were identified in the trial-trenches. Worked flints were recovered from the topsoil.
