Summary. Two trial-trenches were excavated at Lexden Grange, the site of two Late Iron Age cremation burials: However none were revealed in the evaluation. The trench at the front of the Grange revealed Roman pits, proving some Roman activity on the site. The trench to the rear of the Grange showed some modern disturbance from the creation of the car-parking area.
