Summary. A watching brief was carried out at Notcutts Nurseries, Station Road, Ardleigh, Essex, during the excavation of a cable trench. The site lies within one of the largest cropmark complexes in East Anglia. The only feature of archaeological significance recorded was a single ditch of indeterminate date.
