Summary. Monitoring and recording of topsoil-stripping over an area of 3.3 hectares in the North Field at Brightlingsea Quarry, Moverons Lane, Brightlingsea, Essex revealed field-ditches containing Neolithic pottery and several discrete features including a disturbed Beaker burial. Middle Bronze Age and Roman material was recovered from the ploughsoil. Some features were heavily truncated by machine-stripping of the site.
