Summary. An intermittent watching brief was carried out on one section of an Anglian Water sewer pipeline along Church Lane in Lexden, Colchester, Essex. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed by the groundworks, probably due to disturbance from the laying of the road and previous services.
