Summary. Observations were made in a watching brief for a new 5x5m conservatory is to be built in the open NE angle of 50 Creffield Road, Colchester. Within the area of the footings, an area strip down to 400mm had been done. Neither the footings nor the area strip penetrated topsoil, so nothing was visible.
