Summary.
The well-preserved remains of 15th-/16th-century and later buildings were uncovered close to the surface near the Hythe Hill frontage. These overlay extensive dump layers and pits, with a range of finds dating from the 13th to the 15th centuries. More pits were located to the rear of the frontage area, although the evidence diminished further away from the street.
