Using Google to search the CAT library

To use Google to search documents in the CAT library, visit Google and add the text

  site:cat.essex.ac.uk

to the end of your search query; this tells Google's search engine to look only on this website. For example, the query

  roman shoe site:cat.essex.ac.uk

tells Google to look for "roman shoe" in all the reports etc on this website.

We do not provide the facility directly from this website because it has been (ab-)used in distributed denial-of-service attacks in the past.
